    We are proud to announce the release of our Ecotechnik Big Turbokit for the 08-09 Cobalt SS/TC. After months of developing and testing the kit, it is now finalized and ready for pre-orders. The heart of the kit is a Garrett Ball Bearing series GT2871r. We choose this turbo for its quick response, recovery time, and great top end when matched with a proper exhaust manifold. Next we gave the very difficult task of creating a tubular manifold in such tight constraints to our master fabricators. After weeks of work we were able to design a high flowing tubular manifold with a true 4-1 merge collector. Matched with a 3 inch stainless steel downpipe, 2.5 inch tig welded aluminum charge piping and a massive 600hp intercooler we instantly had the recipe for big power. We did this all on a bone stock exhaust system to give you a true comparison of our kit vs. the stock setup. Stock numbers were 240whp 260wtq, Ecotechnik numbers 371whp 383wtq.

    We are still adding to our new line of Chevy Cobalt SS/TC products. Our newest downpipe offers, excellent performance over the factory restrictive downpipe.

    Features:
    -Stainless 3" tubing with no catalytic converters.
    -Flex section to allow for engine movement.

    We have developed the first and last intercooler kit you will ever have to purchase for the 08/09 Cobalt SS. The kit is built around a massive 600hp Garrett core (24x8x3.5) with our custom end tanks that feature a backdoor entry and exit. This kit works with all of the factory components and sensors, as a direct replacement. The kit also includes aluminum 2.5" tig welded piping with bead rolled ends. You have your choice of black powdercoated charge pipes or a natural polished finish. To finish off the kit, we include high quality 4 ply silicone couplers and stainless steel t-bolt clamps.

    The manifold is setup for a Tial exhaust housing. The v band allows for a very smooth transition from the manifold to the turbo. The tial stainless steel exhaust housings are much lighter than the standard garrett iron exhaust housings. The V band allows for much easier removal and installation.

  • 08/20/08 534whp 2000 Acura Integra GSR - This car is out on the streets now, with an available 534whp b18c1 engine on tap, as long as the appropriate race gas is being use. On 93 octane pump gas the car still manages to generate a healthy 445whp for every day use.
  • 07/07/08 K20A Type R EK Hatchback Project - Here is another project we just finished here at the shop, the owner will be taking this 211whp K20 Type R hatc across the country to Washington State next week.
  • 03/22/08 Evan's 2rz Toyota Tacoma with Tial v-band GT35r - Evan drove his Tacoma 3 days from Alberta Canada to drop off the car, and came back to pick up the car and proceeded to drive it 3 days back across the country with a completely built and turbocharged motor.

  • 10/17/08 Cobalt SS Turbo Manifold - We have been working late to develop our upgrade kit for the ss/tc. Last night we finished the major component, our tubular manifold. It features a true 4-1 merge collector (which you can't get with a log style) long runners to help carry the powerband and is hand made from Stainless Steel. The turbo manifold is designed to be used with either a gt28rs, gt2871r, 3071r (2871r for our kit). The gt2871r is good for about 400whp and will spool up and be very responsive in the T2 hotside. Our goal is to have a bolt on 375whp kit that spools up quick (like stock) but can carrry the torque and power until redline.
